The first part of the talk focuses on a description of the CHOOSEMATHS program, whose goals are to increase participation of women in mathematics education, including tertiary education, to change awareness of the importance of mathematics, and to improve the career paths for women in STEM-related disciplines.

In the second part I will describe the results of the teacher surveys for primary and secondary teachers, discuss implications of these results and present some hypotheses.
